"Honoring Marines by Educating Their Children"
|
The mission of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation is to provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships for higher education to deserving sons and daughters of Marines and children of former Marines, with particular attention being given to children whose parent was killed or wounded in action.
One-year scholarships (ranging from $1,000 - $12,500) are awarded annually and are limited to undergraduate studies at accredited educational and/or technical institutions. Our "Heroes Tribute Scholarships" (of up to $30,000 over four years) are given to the children of Marines and the children of Navy Corpsmen serving with the Marines whose parent is killed in the ongoing Global War on Terror. Current scholarship recipients must reapply each year and are limited to a total of four awards.
The application submission deadlines for the 2009-2010 academic year have passed. Applications for the 2010-2011 academic year will be available in January 2010.
